Memorial Day Menu Round-Up

Memorial Day Weekend is the unofficial start to summer and outdoor entertaining. After another brutally cold Chicago winter, we here at the krave could not be more excited for the season of long, lazy summer days and backyard barbecues! We scoured our favorite websites and blogs to bring you the most delicious, crowd-pleasing recipes we could find.

Because when are bacon and blue cheese ever a bad idea? Never, that’s when. Kick your basic backyard burgers up a notch with this scrumptious recipe from barbecue icon, Weber Grills.

This make-ahead dish is perfect to take with you if you’re a guest at someone’s party. It can be served chilled or at room temperature and it’s great with tortilla chips or on top of grilled chicken.

Could this drink be any prettier? Just be sure to keep it outside so it doesn’t spill and stain your floors. Make a batch using Fresca instead of red wine and it’s great for kids, too!

How fun are these grilled banana boats? Both kids and adults will have fun making and eating these adorable little desserts. The younger ones can assemble the boats while the adults man the grill. Get creative with the toppings – caramel, coconut flakes, chocolate chips…..
